C.L. Moore

Catherine Lucille Moore was an American science fiction and fantasy writer, who most often used the pen name C. L. Moore. She was among the first women to write in either genre. She was a trailblazer in the early pulp magazines, and prolific over the next several decades. In 1981, Moore received two awards for her career in fantasy literature: the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement, chosen by a panel of judges at the World Fantasy Convention, and the Gandalf Grand Master Award, chosen by vote of participants in the World Science Fiction Convention.
