Richard Marsden
Richard Marsden is a History teacher, holds a Masters Degree in Land Warfare, courtesy AMU and is co-founder of the Phoenix Society of Historical Swordsmanship along with John Patterson. Richard has won numerous medals at Historical Fencing tournaments and so have his students as well as their students. He was President of the HEMA Alliance and holds HEMA Alliance Instructor Certification in Fiore Longsword, Giganti Rapier, and Polish Saber. He has taught classes on various historical fencing techniques at various events in North America. He is also the co-author of over fifty short stories, an RPG expansion for Savage Worlds, War of the Worlds: The Remains, and is the author of The Polish Saber: The Use of the Polish Saber on Foot in the 17th century. He has a loving wife who tolerates his many eccentricities.
Celia Marsh
Celia Marsh graduated from Kalamazoo College and returned to Michigan to attend the Clarion Writers Workshop in 2002. She spent several years living in Washington, D.C. and currently lives in a small town in Pennsylvania. She is an editor for the Fortean Bureau and a member of the Online Writing Workshop.
Helen Marshall
Helen Marshall is an award-winning Canadian author, editor, and doctor of medieval studies. Her poetry and fiction have been published in The Chiaroscuro, Abyss & Apex, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, Tor.com and have been reprinted in several Year’s Best anthologies. Her debut collection of short stories Hair Side, Flesh Side (ChiZine Publications, 2012) was named one of the top ten books of 2012 by January Magazine. It won the 2013 British Fantasy Award for Best Newcomer and was short-listed for an 2013 Aurora Award by the Canadian Society of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Her second collection Gifts for the Ones Who Come After was released in September 2014.
Kate Marshall
Kate Marshall is the author of the Young Adult novel I AM STILL ALIVE (Viking Children’s), coming in 2018. Her science fiction and fantasy fiction has appeared in Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Crossed Genres, and elsewhere. She writes historical romance as Kathleen Kimmel, and works in the video game industry as a writer and occasional designer. Her love of books runs through every aspect of her career; she serves as both a developmental editor and a cover designer for fellow authors.
She lives outside of Seattle with her husband, a dog named Vonnegut, a cat named after a cylon, and a baby. They all conspire to keep her on her toes.
