Taylor is an active member of the Horror Writers Association and serves on the board of directors of Scares That Care.

A handbook on writing, Yours To Tell: Dialogues on the Art & Practice of Fiction, written with his late wife Melanie, has appeared from Apex Books. In the Fall of 2018 Hex Publishers will be bringing out Steve’s middle-grade novel The Mask Shop of Doctor Blaack.
