Oh man, this was a GREAT story. Sure, it was predictable, but who cares? The ending still gave me chillbumps and I havn't experienced that in awhile. What was also great about this story is there was no cursing or sexual situations in it yet it still managed to be scary. Every summer I go to camp as a councellor and my cabin always has a large group of 14 to 15 yr old boys. Next summer, once lights go out I'll be playing this story for my guys. They will eat it up.

Great reading, wonderful story. We got to enter this kid's world and it was a fantastic place to go. What a cool grampa, even if he did antagonize the Hay Devils.

The outro was so loud. Wuzzup w/ that?

cant believe this story is not getting more fan praise.

Having heard all pseudo-pods, and being a horror buff, I only got three words to say;

best   pseudo-pod    ever

I couldnt get to sleep a few minutes after hearing it, a feat hard to achieve now-a-days.

This had a good sense of mood, and I really thought it was read well.

But... it was pretty predictable. Right in the opening paragraphs, the question is implied: "Do the Hay Devils exist or not?" So there were really only two obvious outcomes--they exist, or they don't. If they didn't exist, the story wouldn't really be horrific, so I jumped striaght to the conclusion that they did exist. I would've enjoyed it more if anything had surprised me.
