I know this thread is as dead as it gets, but I watched the film 'Fido' last night. Heh, zombie film as social commentary, there you go. Highly recommend.
AND -- Carrie-Anne Moss in a vintage 1950's housedress.... OMG OMG OMG!

It's a shame how people pray on those of us with an irrational fear of zombies. : )

I swear Max Brooks stole all his material right from my head. There is no way he could have been that close otherwise...

But I bet HE doesn't have a sawed off shotgun with the words "ZOMBIE REPELLENT" engraved into it. Some of us are just "more" prepared then others.

That weapon would actually be mediocre as a primary weapon in a zombie attack.
The eye-gougin' spike would do little, because it does not look long enough to do significant harm to the brain if stabbed in the eye.
The skull-cleavin' blade is also a poor feature, because it would take too much time and energy to remove the blade from the head.
The same applies for the bone-crushin' mallet; too much energy required to use. Even though breaking a zombie's legs would slow them down, that is all it would do.
It would also require you to get too close to the target before you could make a kill.
This weapon is really only marginally better than a plain club or an axe. It's only saving graces are it's e-z clean finish and comfortable grip.
Nowhere near worth 250 bucks!!! You're better off going with a plain high quality katana sword.

But don't take my word for it! Read Max Brooks' "Zombie Survival Guide" for more.
Also, is it just me, or does the guy in the picture look like Mr. Buzzcut from Beavis and Butthead?
