I wonder what it is about Frankenstein that we are compelled to visit over and over. So how it must touch upon God and death and other core things inside each of us. Plus even if they are, maybe someone will be kind enough to take from another and sew into us.

The story was read by mistress monotone and bored me to the point that I nearly fell asleep driving to work. Also, since the levels were so screwed up, I kept missing words with the road noise.

It seems to me that if you have submission guidelines, you should have reading and sound guidelines to which you would adhere or not release the story. Then again, if you did that, you wouldn't run lousy stories like this one.

i had a very hard time listening to this story, as the narrator's voice was pegging the bass levels on my pod. no other story has sounded this awful, so I didnt even listen to the whole story

I don't know how her name is spelled in the book, Kopi, or Copy, but the latter would seem to fit as a cruel joke, as she is anything but. It was a shame, though, that she felt her condition to be as bad as being a creature of cobbled together corpses. In a better place, Kopi could have lived a perfectly happy life.

I am very glad I clicked on this story. What a wonderful introduction to Pseudopod!

The images of the trophy-ringed clearing and Kopi sinking beneath the water will stay with me for quite a long time.

Excellent story and stellar reading.

Cool story, and a good reading.

One thing thing I just HAVE to mention--not nitpicking, I just find myself incapable of not mentioning it--but it's the "Nostromo" floating through space at the end of Alien.
