I knew Mur should leave. Still, it is a tad sad. I loved her raspy voice. I wish mine sounded like that and not Minnie Mouse.

Yah for a ghoul story. The world is simple lacking in these. I think the zombies have taken their place. Poor ghouls. What’s a ghoul to do?

I love the movie Ninth Gate. I wish the book had been all I wanted it to be. Oh well. Someday, I’ll write my own.

Almost perfect read. Still hearing Johnny read the story would have been a dark dream come true.

This was fucking great. I wish there was a novel, no a series to explore!

FEED the pod Steak, thick and rare with a rich red wine.

Wow, I'm gunna miss you Mir.

This story was amazing. One of my favorites next to "We Are All Very Lively". A nice mix of occult horror, modern magic, and noir. Simply amazing.

This story was a treat! I love hard-boiled detective noir stories, and I love it when genres are thrown into a blender on the frappe setting. I would have loved to know a little more about the book collecting business and the book in question, but it was, overall, an extremely satisfying story with a nice take on ghouls.

Great story. While there have been a lot of stories here that I have liked and enjoyed ... this one left me hoping the auther will treat us to "Further Adventures of ..." :)

Mur's voice will certianly be missed here but I am excited about the possibilties of what new works we may get from her as she takes on a more reasonable workload.
Go get 'em Mur!

we will miss you, mur! i understand, having to cut some podcasts and activities out of my life, needless to say pseudopod et al are not one of them! go well, and all the best.
- your listeners -

i really liked this story. it's exciting when you click what's going on. i don't think the book needs to be described any more than it already is: the listener will start pouring all these ideas into what it might be, which is, sometimes, much more effective than the writer explaining it to the T.

And the best line? "I'm no a goon. I'm a book collector."

Sorry to hear that you are leaving Mur. You have such a pleasant sounding voice and it made things sound so much creepier. You will be missed.

This story reminds me of the movie The Ninth Gate. I really enjoyed it. It would make a great start for a novel.

I have to agree with the others Mur. You will be missed and I hope to here you do the occasional narration.

As to this week's story, it was good but seemed rushed as written. The book wasn't really described what it was and could have made a good contribution to the story if it had been developed a bit more. The story didn't feel very "horrorish" to me but that isn't a bad thing either. Just different from some of the others. Good narration but there were a couple of glitches IIRC.

So long Mur and good luck in your other endeavors.

I have only listened to 10 or so podcasts, but I'm totally hooked. Mur, your voice is one of the things that hooked me to this podcast, and I want only to thank you for the stories, and for your voice. Good luck!
