Pseudopod 037: We Are All Very Lively

By Richard A. Becker

Read by Cheyenne Wright

The really big cities had already been given the military treatment anyway, and that was mostly just plain stupid. Hallelujah, we used fuel-air explosives on the things! Nuked ‘em! Genius! We destroyed ourselves to save ourselves, and if only they’d completely vaporized the targets it would’ve been fine. Well, apart from the fallout and the millions who died by friendly fire, that is.

You know, you really ought to make sure you move around a little bit more. It’s not our shift’s sleep time yet.

I greatly enjoyed this story. The ending really sets it apart and the father/son dialogue was an interesting approach.

eerie. i enjoyed the appropriately placed sarcastic tones in the end. Never was really into stories about walking corpses but this tale is way more creative than the 28 days later (should be Italicized) crap…

I like the approach taken with this story, I like zombie stories and this one took a new direction with the age old zombies took over the world idea, because, I suppose in this story, no matter how you look at it, they have taken over the world. Really well presented as well.

i am a HUGE fan of any zombie story, film, book ect…and this story was just so compeling! its erie sence the way the story was presented i thout it really gave you the sence of mood and how these people were on the brink of insanity and holding there own.
I like how it all played out how he talked about all the things and the way they were before “they” came…

5 out of 5 awesome!

psueudopod you need more storys like this!

I love how this shows how ppl are so willing to give away their rights for the sake of increased security from whatever fears are upon them atm. Of course zombies are a bigger fear than our current fear of terrorism around every corner of every building.

Great zombie story.

Great reading. We are talking real acting.

I always thought that zombies would have rot away.

This may be the best combonation of story and reader.

Feeding the pod A rare cheeseburger, a large coke with light ice, and chilli cheese fries. What a way to go…
