Great story!

I'm not one for a lot of sex (unlesss I'm involved and my partner is Vampirella), or hardcore violence. This story gives a nice chill without the graphic gush that's so commonplace these days. As for SE's reading, I like it. Of course a female voice reading a female character is always preferable but a good story and reader make the images and voices live sl that the actual voice matters less.

Blessings,
HOC

I've just started listening to this podcast - I'm really enjoying the stories - especially this one. And, I though Ely did a nice job.

And wasn't this supposed to be a story set in the UK? Still, I suppose the actual story details are so vague as to not really matter. And EP has had a flash fiction writing compo, what about PP doing a flash fiction reading competition?

I quite liked this story. I rarely say this about stories but I felt it needed to be a little bit longer, the narrator has barely had enough time to establish himself in the listener/readers mind and then you find out he killed another child as a child, you don't know what happened since but that if left alone he will kill another woman. I was left wondering, what was his life like between those two deaths? Did he hurt anyone else?

And I presume that bit with it being explained that she wasn't exactly a guardian angel was to explain why she felt able to kill him. Why it wasn't just that she was the girl's Guardian Angel all along and just lied to the guy to get close to him I don't know. The bones of the story were good but needed a little more meat.

For taste.

Yum!

Nice story ... but please give Ely some time off from reading. I enjoy and appreciate his work on Escape Pod and all, but stories don't exactly roll off his tongue.

I agree. The last three stories have rocked. This one started off in a dark humor kind of tone that reminded me of "Where Dead People Are Supposed to Do" but took a darker turn at the end.

You guys are becoming consistently awesome! I loved this week's story as well. That's three in a row for me. The only think I didnt like was waiting all week for such a short story. :( But, I'm certainly NOT complaining. Keep it up!
